ANGER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (AMP)

ANGER CONTROL COUNSELING (ACC)

WHY DO I NEED ANGER MANAGEMENT?

Where Can I attend an Anger Management Program (AMP) or Anger Control Counseling (ACC) in Tarrant County?

If you have been accused or charged with either, an assault or domestic violence offense, in Tarrant County you could be ordered to complete the Anger Management Program, known as ACC. In some cases, ACC will be ordered by the judge as part of your probation, and sometimes your attorney will request that you complete ACC before your court date. All of the Anger Management Programs listed below are approved by the Tarrant County Probation Department (CSCD).

What are the requirements for Anger Management Programs according to CSCD in Tarrant county?

CSCD now requires that all Anger Management Program courses to meet minimum requirements: 1) They must be 18 total hours of counseling, 16 in a group setting and one-hour intake and exit sessions; 2) Group sessions must be two hours each; 3) Group sessions can meet one or two times weekly, for a total of four weeks or eight weeks; 4) Male and female participants must be in separate classes. Completing a program not approved by CSCD may mean that you have to complete another one. CSCD accepts no responsibility for you choosing a non-approved program.
